STEP BY STEP PROCESS OF KHATA CONVERSION
Step 1: You must apply to the District Commissioner (DC) Conversion to convert the land from agricultural to non-agricultural.
Step 2: It must be ascertained that all the property tax dues are cleared till the application date.
Step 3: The Khata form/ format should be obtained from the BBMP office and duly filled.
Step 4: The Khata conversion application form must mention all the property documents that must be submitted with the application.
Step 5: The charges levied for converting B Khata to A Khata are called betterment charges under the BBMP regime. Submit the filled form along with the property tax receipts and the other documents required to the assistant revenue officer.
If all the documents are found correct by the BBMP, the Khata document will be issued within a period of 4-6 weeks from submission.
